March is the month of eternal hope where we wish for winter to end and spring to start. Get ready for a variety of new players in town that are sure to satisfy any palate. Our three featured restaurants offer up specific food menus and, ironically, they’re all located on the St. Patrick’s Day parade route. It’s time to get outside despite what the weather is doing and meet up with old friends and maybe meet a new one or two along the way.

Here is an Irish Blessing (Limerick) from Newport Living Group:

Corned Beef

Newport Sandwich Co. may be known for their roast beef but in March they offer limited edition corned beef sandwiches which you don’t want to miss. With days of prep work, and the taste of history and tradition, this family-owned sandwich shop serves up the classic St. Patrick’s Day favorite for all. Available starting on parade day, March 15th, and for the full week following St. Patrick’s day.

Cuisine

Mission Group’s has launched “Audette” opening on February 25th. Their newest venture honors Bouchard tradition while appealing to younger diners; think a modern take on tablecloth dining. The menu is true French cuisine with a nod to Bouchard’s favorites. And yes, they have souffle!

Chomp Kitchen and Drinks

The former Fifth Element restaurant will transform into a creative burger and craft beer hall known as Chomp Kitchen and Drinks. A well-established local chain with two other restaurants located in Warren and Providence. The new owners plan to continue with the local tradition of live jazz music while bringing back local performers on special nights and weekends and embracing the expansive patio. Work is underway to enlarge the space and expand the bar from fourteen to twenty feet long. The intent is to keep the things that are bringing people to downtown Broadway and continue to support local musicians all while expanding the Chomp brand. The hope is to open by St. Patrick’s Day so keep your eyes peeled on parade day for an early opening!

Countertops

The rumor is that quartz is making a comeback and marble is on its way out. These two stones are the most popular when designing a kitchen. If you are in the market and still indecisive you should check out this article from HGTV.
